ABOUT ME
INTRO
Hello world! Kamil here. A self-taught frontend developer from Poland. Journalist by profession, but programmer by passion. Creating stuff for web since 2020.
EXPERIENCE
I started my web-dev journey in late 2020. With 3+ years of hands-on experience, I can turn ideas into a working product. Company website, web game, music app - you name it!
EXPERTISE
My skillset is focused on designing, building and maintaining web applications, websites and even custom scripts. All that without vibe coding or AI assistance.
INTERESTS
Besides programming, in my spare time I always relish writing various articles and sharing my knowledge with others. Also enjoying Richii Mahjong and DnB / Dubstep music.
LANGUAGES
Human or programming ones? Fluent in Polish, English, Typescript, Javascript. Plus I know the very basics of C++ and Spanish. Learning in progress...

OPEN SOURCE
A short list of my open source contributions. Pull requests and solved issues are included here, with proper links to the sources and reference images (where possible).
Add light/dark theme switch
Repository: profile-readme-generatorType: PULL REQUEST
This was my very first step in the Open Source world. The Readme Generator project lacked a proper light/dark theme switch. I decided to take a challenge and add the feature to the project. My pull request eventually DID NOT get merged, however I gained a lot of practical knowledge during the process.Snake animation Error
Repository: profile-readme-generatorType: ISSUE
A user had troubles with running Snake animation inside his Readme file. I tried to replicate the problem, and checked for potential bugs in the source code - found none. I provided some steps on how to properly run a Github Action for this animation, which ultimately solved the issue.Create a simple Notes Editor
Repository: AllOneNotesType: PULL REQUEST
I helped building and maintaining a WYSIWYG editor by adding new features like buttons to style text or embedding videos/photos. Since source repository got privated by the owner, I have included the link pointing to my work version for said pull requests.Stats doesn't show up
Repository: profile-readme-generatorType: ISSUE
One of the Readme Generator users found out that the Stats widget was not loading properly. I tested the bug myself, then tried to find the cause in the project repository. Finally I noticed a major change in the Stats widget provider API, which caused the issue.
